The Best Parks to Spend Your Weekends in Langley, BC
If you’re looking for a weekend getaway, then Langley is the perfect place to visit. With 3 of my favourite parks in Langley – Brookswood Heritage Park, Terrace Heights Park and Walnut Grove Provincial Park – there’s no shortage of outdoor activities to do. For those with a sweet tooth like me, there are plenty of ice cream shops too! If you’re thinking about moving soon or already live in the area, be sure to meet our Langley, BC realtor, who will introduce you to our new homes for sale and what they have to offer.
What my 3 favorite parks in Langley are
Brookswood Heritage Park
This park is my all-time favourite! It’s huge and has a playground, trails, a pond, a river and even an orchard. There’s something for everyone here. You will be amazed by its huge area and the many different trees and plants in it.
Terrace Heights Park
This smaller park is perfect if you want to get away from the crowds but still have some fun. There’s a playground, water feature and even an outdoor theater!
Walnut Grove Provincial Park
This park is perfect for those who want to spend their afternoon hiking or biking on the trails after coming back from grabbing some ice cream at one of Langley’s many shops along Glover Road. The views are amazing too!
The best places to get ice cream in Langley
There’s a little bit of everything when it comes to ice cream shops in Langley. If you’re looking for something classic, then Dairy Queen is the place to go. For those who want something a little more unique, try out Sweet Tooth Ice Cream or The Scoop. No matter what you’re into, there’s definitely an ice cream shop in Langley that will satisfy your sweet tooth.
What else can you do in the parks?
At Brookswood Heritage Park, there’s a beautiful pond where the kids can feed ducks and grab an ice cream afterwards. If you’re looking for something more active then head to Terrace Heights Park which has sports fields, tennis courts, trails and even outdoor fitness equipment!
When it comes to Walnut Grove Provincial Park , I’d recommend grabbing a picnic basket and spending the afternoon hiking on some of Langley’s best trails.
Get the kids and head to Langley’s Science World for an educational (and fun) afternoon! You can also head over to Carousel Skate or Pump it Up – both indoor playgrounds.
Where and what would be a good place to eat in the evening?
Come to Langley for a fun-filled evening out! There are plenty of restaurants that offer something different when you’re looking for an exciting dining experience.
If you want some casual grub, hit up Ricky’s All Day Grill or Boston Pizza; if it’s more upscale food your taste buds crave than try The Keg at Milestones followed by fine wines served alongside exquisite dishes from around the world (it has won many awards). No matter what kind of cuisine catches your fancy, there will be no shortage here in this little town where anything can happen…
How to choose the best area for your home in Langley, BC
When it comes to choosing the best area for your home, there are a few things you need to take into account. One of the most important factors is what kind of lifestyle you want to lead. Do you want to be in a busy city center, or do you prefer something a little more quiet and peaceful?
Another thing to consider is your budget. You don’t want to spend more than you can afford on your home, and there are plenty of areas in Langley that offer great value for your money.
Finally, think about what kind of commute you’re willing to put up with. Some areas have better public transportation options than others. By taking all these factors into account, you’ll be able to find the best area for your new home.
